Asheville Butterfly TrailMyra Maxwell Chandler, 65, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Myra was born to the late Billy Bruce Maxwell and Jane Glenn Woodson Maxwell West in 1960.
Myra was an avid reader and loved animals, especially her grand pups. She is survived by her son, Rick Chandler, III and his wife Taran Chandler; stepmother, Susan Hall Maxwell; brother Marlowe Maxwell and his wife Diane; sister, Melita Maxwell and her lifelong partner Bobby; stepbrother, Stacey Levi; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering for friends and family to celebrate Myra will be planned at a later date.
