Cynthia Imo Wilmoth

Cynthia Imo Roam Wilmoth, 68, of Asheville, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius Dale Roam and Florence Nettie Nicks Roam, sister, Myra Roam, and brother, Lonnie Roam.

Cynthia was a devoted mother and loving wife. She loved cooking, gardening and landscaping, decorating her home, sewing and quilting. Anytime a coworker was expecting she would make a baby quilt for them.

She was a Certified Surgical First Assistant and Surgical Technologist. She worked at Mission St. Joseph’s hospital from 2006 through 2014. Cynthia genuinely loved her work and was a dedicated patient advocate.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lee Wilmoth; daughter, Leaha Jeanette Wilmoth, of Waynesville, and her significant other, Andrew Adams; sister, Judy Auclaire; brothers, Douglas Roam and Terry Roam; and loving and loyal German Shepherd Dog, Hector.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
