Ronda McLendon Cantrell, 59, of Leicester, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, after a long-fought battle with rare health conditions.

Born July 19, 1965 in Florida, Ronda was a daughter of the late Jerry McLendon, Sr. and Nancy McClary. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert “Bob” Wallace, and her brother, Jerry “JJ” McLendon, Jr.

Ronda enjoyed the simple things, like coffee on the porch with her neighbor, or watching the birds and wildlife in her little valley. She loved spending time with all her grandbabies and going to ball games.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Cantrell; children, Christina Denny and Robert “Bobby” Wallace (Kandace); bonus daughter, Aimee Holder; step-daughters, Melissa Cantrell (Deshon Harper) and Kristen Hensley (Richard “Tip”); grandchildren, Robert Dean “RD” Wallace, Violet Denny, Mia Ray, Zhylin Harper, Easton and Carson Hensley; siblings, Minah Davis (Chan) and Mara Alexander (Tim); and lots of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
