Harold Steven “Steve” Trantham, 67, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

Born February 8, 1958 in Buncombe Co., Steve was a son of the late Harold Lee Trantham and Thelma Lorraine Justice Trantham. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Eddie Brigman.

Surviving is his sister, Dale Trantham Brigman; nephew, Kyle Brigman; niece, Jordan Brigman; numerous extended family members; and friend, Billy Johnson.

Per Steve’s wishes, there will be no services.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

Sorry for the loss to the Family. Steve graduated from Clyde A Erwin – Class of 1976. I went to school with Steve at Emma too. Prayers for the family.

Myriam just sent me this today; I’m so sad to hear of his passing. I tried and failed to locate him a few years back so I never got to meet him. Aunt Dale, Kyle, Jordan, and Billy, may his memories always bring you joy. Perhaps you can tell me his stories one day if we ever get to meet.
