Betty Lee Wilson

Betty Lee Wilson, 97, of Enka Candler passed peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2025.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Eva Gorman Plemmons of the Leicester community. She retired from Western Carolina Industries and was a member of Abernathy Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed gardening, crafting, quilting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wilson, a son, Edward Wilson, and brothers, Hal Ray Plemmons and Joe Plemmons.

She is survived by her son, Robert Wilson of Red Lodge, Montana; her sister, Carrie Mae Plemmons of Leicester, NC; as well as 3 grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Pisgah Valley for the compassionate care she received over the past 5 years.

Interment will be at Grace United Methodist Church in Leicester, NC. No services are planned.
