Peggy Jean Hensley Clement, 82, of Weaverville, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
An Asheville native, Peggy was the daughter of the late Guy Gaither and Elizabeth Matilda Robinson Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Billy Robert Clement.
Peggy played the piano for many years in The Church of God. She was also self-taught in sign language for her son, Stacey, and was an amazing seamstress. She loved to travel, loved her family, and loved her Lord.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Clement (Angela) and Stacey Clement (Shawna); daughter, Jeanne Campbell (Noel); grandchildren, Justin Clement (Jennifer), Seth Clement, Nathan Campbell (Lorrie), Peggy Breonna Chandler (Chad), and Chanity-Hope Campbell; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Renleigh, Chase, Isaak, Alex, Jack, and Talon Rice (Trisha); great-great-grandchildren, Aiden, Blake and Sofia; and siblings, Joni Pressley, Judy Edwards, and Bo Hensley (Wes-leigh).
Her family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
