Sarah Elizabeth Pinner, 95, of Fletcher, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Sarah was born on the Biltmore Estate on December 22, 1928 to the late Oliver and Hattie (Rice) Redmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom A. Pinner; her brothers James, Charles, William, and Glenn (Sonny) Redmond; and one sister, Gladys Branks.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Frady and his wife Betsy; four grandchildren: Fonda Frady (Diane), Crystal Carver (Ronnie), Candy Higgins (David), and Shane Frady (Lynn); six great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Josh, Jacob (Seledia), Jerrica (Jordan), Dillan (Heather), and Dakota; and four great-great grandchildren: Mason, Levi, Riley, and Easton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Radiant Church with Dr. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Frady, Jeremy Carver, Jacob Carver, Josh Carver, Dillan Higgins, and Dakota Higgins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Radiant Church, 3839 Sweeten Creek Rd., Arden, NC 28704.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

  11. Sarah was my grandmother’s baby sister (Gladys Branks) and she was my Great Aunt. She was always warm, vibrant, and smiling and laughing. She was always supportive and present for every milestone in my life. She always sent a card, a gift, or made it known you were always welcome to visit her anytime. She loved her family dearly and will be remembered for such love and compassion she shared with all that knew her. She will be dearly missed. I will always remember her donkey and beloved Maltese dog named Ashley. I am sorry for your loss Frady family. May you find peace in this difficult time knowing how much she was loved and appreciated by all she knew.
