Margie Druzella Birtcher Browning

Margie Druzella Birtcher Browning, 88, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday July 13, 2024, at Aston Park Health Care Center in Asheville, NC. 

She was born February 5, 1936, in Ethel W.Va., daughter of the late Rev. Raymond Eugene and Julia Elizabeth Cepers Birtcher. She was also preceded in death by husband, Raymond Lester Browning, daughter, Janet Kay Mitchell, sister, Hazel Birtcher (Steve) Evans and great-grandson, Caleb Ryan Ray. 

Margie was a retired salesclerk for Andersen Newcomb (Stone and Thomas), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and attended Huntington First Church of the Nazarene. 

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna Lynn and Eddie Wyatt of Ashville, NC and Teresa Ann and David Ray of Huntington WV; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Lester Browning II and Melinda Browning of Brookville, IN; brother Jr. (Helen) Birtcher; sisters, Patty Birtcher (Lowell) Schultz and Nancy Birtcher (Don) Hornish; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin 11am – 1pm with the funeral service to follow on Saturday August 3, 2024, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, WV. The burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Women’s Ministry of Huntington First Church of the Nazarene, the American Diabetes Association or the Four Seasons Hospice of Asheville.
