Asheville Butterfly TrailDorothy “Dot” Mosley, 92, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 after a period of declining health. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County.
She is survived by her sister, Janie Laws of Asheville, NC.
Dorothy enjoyed reminiscing about the people (local and tourists) she met over her years as receptionist at many businesses in Asheville.
She continued to work crossword puzzles; word find; working with her plants and bird watching (humming birds). She loved cats and rescued many thru the years.
Dorothy was small in stature, but was a strong, independent woman. She will be missed.
Per her request, no service is planned. Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road assisted the family.

Janie, it is hard to believe that your sister Dot and my aunt Ann Haney passed away within a month of each other… They were such longtime good friends. I guess they will be together again now. Hugs to you.
