Ellen Lucille Moore, 61, of Asheville passed away on January 9, 2024. She was surrounded by her beloved daughters, Holly & Carly.
Ellen was born in Asheville, January 26, 1962. She remained there, caring deeply for her family and for helping others. As a nurse, many of her days were spent tending to the needs of her patients and their families.
Ellen was preceded in death by her mother and father, Myrtle Aidelade McCoy Moore and John William Moore.
Ellen is survived by her lovely daughters, Holly Reed Dollar (husband Rufus Dollar), and Carly Michelle Cole (husband Matt Cole); her amazing grandsons, who brought her much joy, Caleb & Samuel; and her brothers Jeff Moore (wife Leyla Nickerson) and John Moore (wife Tammy Moore).
Ellen was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, Mombie, Bee, and mother in law. She loved fiercely and cared for her family above all else.
We will miss her dearly, and her impact was felt greatly by those around her in the nursing field. If you were impacted by her greatness, please hold onto that memory and pay it forward to others in her stead.
We love you B!
A celebration of life will be held at a later time for Ellen (TBD).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice in honor of her memory.

We are so incredibly saddened to hear of Ellen’s passing. We are praying for each of you to feel the Lord’s comfort during this heartbreaking loss.
Sending love and prayers to the family.
This hurts alot. She was always the most loving soul. There is a picture of a bunch of us playing together with dogs. I will try to find it. I cherish the thoughts of those times. Ellen got her selflessness from Myrtle, I know. We all have a lot to live up to….
I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Ellen when our daughters. Holly and my daughter Ashlee, started kindergarten at Woodfin school. Ellen and I started the Daisy Girl Scouts at Woodfin and we became very good friends. Thankful for those memories. Holly and Carly, you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless and comfort you.
