Harold Ray Davidson, 86, of Asheville, NC, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the Charles George VA Medical Center.
He was born on January 20, 1937, in Black Mountain, NC, to the late George Kenneth and Shirley M. Davidson. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Messer and sister-in-law, Pearlene Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patty; his daughter, Debbie Sexton (Mike), his granddaughter, Taylor Sexton, his grandson, Corey Sexton (Athena), brother; Kenneth Davidson (Doc) and Bud; brothers-in-law, Danny Messer (Belinda), Wilford Messer (Norma), Jeff Messer and Neil Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Harold was a 1955 graduate of Owen High School, served honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was employed by Kearfott Navigation Corporation for 36 years.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road, Sunday, November 5, 2023, with visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastors Billy Ferguson and Ben Heise officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
