Brenda Dockery Warren

Brenda Dockery Warren, 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

An Asheville native, Brenda was a daughter of Dortha “Dot” Stuart Dockery and the late Joel Clifford Dockery. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Louise Meadows.

In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband, Roger Dale Warren, Sr.; daughters, Sabrina Arrowood (Nathan) and Makayla Taylor (Kyle); sons, Roger Warren, Jr. (Teressa) and William Warren (Amanda); grandchildren, Craig and Connor Warren, BrookLynn Cagle (Isaiah), Trinten (Alexis) and Taiden Arrowood, and Alton (Amber), Lane (Alexis) and Shailie Warren; great-grandson, Zaiden Buchanan; sisters, Patsy Smith, Trina Smith, and Donna Warren; and brothers, Joel, Jr. “Boxer,” Michael, and Roger Dockery.

Brenda was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who took great joy in her grandchildren. A champion for all things small, she was also an admirer of wildlife and greatly enjoyed feeding and tending to the birds and squirrels that visited daily. Brenda was also an accomplished quilter, seamstress, and crafter.

Brenda’s family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will be held the following day at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Revs. Terry Sprouse and Ricky Netherton, and Mr. Brad Jones will officiate. Brenda’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will then take place at Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler.
