Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dale was true mountain boy and a good brother in law. I bet they’ve got guitars in Heaven. Play is a tune now and then.

    ~Brother Billy

  2. So very sorry Cindy and family. I appreciate our friendship over the many decades. Dale was good to everyone. God’s blessings and comfort to you all. Much love!

  3. Cindy I am so sorry for your loss of Dale; I remember the family gatherings as a child growing up going to Cindy and Dale’s; playing in the hot tub; playing with the cousins, and the Bee Tree Picnic’s at the Church. I have so many wonderful memories of Dale that I will cherish. My thoughts and prayers are with you Cindy and the family during this difficult time. Much love!

  4. Dale was one of my best friends, from our fun times at Western Carolina University and ever since. He was a very generous and good Man and truly loved life and the Mountains of Western North Carolina. He knew every nook and cranny, and was a guide to discover beautiful places. Now he is a new guide in Heaven discovering new places!

  5. Dearest Cindy and family,
Dale is in the loving arms of God and is trouble free. May you find comfort in the love of friends and family. Dale was an amazing man. I always loved to hear Cindy call him, “Mr. Medlock.”

  6. I first met Dale at little Ingles on Haywood Rd. He was bagging groceries and we enjoyed talking while my aunt and Grandmother shopped. Imagine my surprise many years later when we met again and he was married to one of my coworkers Cindy. The first thing we said was “I know you!” While I am saddened by his death I am so glad he is no longer in pain and discomfort. My love goes out to Cindy and all the other family members.

  7. May my condolences bring your family comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of this great loss. Dale was a classmate that always made me laugh with his funny stories. I haven’t seen him in years but I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven😇🕊️✝️

  8. Cindy, I am so very sorry for your loss, but Heaven gained a precious soul. Dale is not suffering anymore he has been set free of all that he had gone through for so long. My prayer’s are with you, and will continue to be. Love you, Teresa Putnam

  9. Cindy, I’m very sorry to hear about Dale. He and I were childhood friends and made many memories. He introduced me to great music that I still listen to today. He will be truly missed.

  10. My name is Ralph Morris and I just attended my 50th high school reunion for Asheville High School of which Dale was a member. There was a moment silence offered for him Sat. night. He was one of my very best friends in high school and I am so sorry to hear of his passing! Dale could never pronounce words with “ar” in them with the sound of “r”. So a word like “start” always sounded like “stort”. Consequently we constantly were throwing words like “start” and “park” at each other for years in a kidding way. Dale was also slightly pigeon toed so we would be walking down the hall at high school and I would start mimicking his walk and all of a sudden I would get a firm fist in the arm! We somehow concluded we were eight cousins. I will see you in Heaven my very good friend!

  11. Cindy, I am so very sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. As my grandfather used to say, and I firmly believe as well, Dale just got a promotion! We will all be reunited with our loved ones someday and won’t that be a true homecoming! Be gentle with yourself and remember that grief has no timeline. God’s peace be with you!

  12. So sorry to learn of Dale’s passing although it is a blessing in that he will no longer suffer with his infirmity. Though I did not visit with Dale I was kept in the loop by Mike Fisher who was obviously burdened with Dale’s situation. Dale was a gentle soul as was his Dad. He will be missed. I am sure he is celebrating his final resting place, as am I. RIP my friend!

  13. I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray the sweet Holy Spirit of God will bring you His comfort and His peace in the name of Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord which is far better. God bless you.

  14. Our hearts are sad over losing such a wonderful friend as Dale. He was a great explorer, musician and comedian, who always found a funny side of any situation. We will miss you, buddy, very much and thanks to Cindy for taking such good care of him.

  15. Cindy I am sorry for your loss of Dale. He was a good Christian man and is now with his Heavenly Father and in no more pain. I remember him always telling funny stories at our family gatherings years ago. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around you and give you strength to guide you through your loss. Prayers for you and your family.

  16. I’m sorry I never got a chance to say goodbye, as we lost touch. I’m so sorry for your loss. Dale was always ready for fun and always there if you needed anything. I’m sure he will be greatly missed by so many.
