Nicole Danielle Redfield Herron, 42, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

An Asheville native, Nicole was a daughter of Brian and Karen McClain Redfield. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Nicole enjoyed spending time in nature, especially camping as a child or trips to the parkway. She loved horses and her pet cats, Oliver and Clem. She will be remembered for her strength and the way she inspired others. She never complained and had an ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her. Those skills were put to excellent use as a candy striper, a time in her life that she particularly cherished. She loved the Lord and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 14 years, Anthony Ray Herron, Jr.; sister, Kristy; brother, Scott; numerous aunts, uncles, parents and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Her family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church on Thursday, August 31, from noon until 2:00 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service. Pastor Emeritus Dr. Ralph Sexton, Senior Pastor Winston Parrish, and Senior Associate Pastor Allen Rash, all of Trinity Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will then take place at West Memorial Park.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
