Gary J. Allegood

Gary J. Allegood, 74, passed away on June 10, 2023 in Asheville, NC. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cheryl “Cheri” Pomraning Allegood; their son and his wife, Kris and Sara Allegood; their daughter and her husband, Heather and Ben Fleming; grandchildren, Esther, Spencer, Patrick, and Asa; and sister, Diane Allegood Walls.

Gary grew up in Moultrie, GA, but spent most of his adult life in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. He was a lover of Jesus, his family, and a proud Vietnam Veteran. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, also known as “Pops,” and an avid deer hunter.

Our family appreciates all of the love and support and finds solace in the blessing that Gary is now at peace. No services will be held.
