Born in:
Buncombe Co., NC
Resided in:
Candler, NC
Bobby Joe Brown, 87, a native of Candler, North Carolina, left this earth on June 4, 2023 and made his way home to rejoice in Heaven with his family, now reunited with his wife and three sons, Helen Ann Warren Brown, Ricky, Robert and Kevin.
Bobby was born on September 18, 1935 to the late Argana Taylor Brown and J.D. Brown, and was also proceeded in death by his one sister, Burnette Brown Stanley.
Bobby retired from The Biltmore Estate in the Forestry Department after working over 30 years there. He mentored so many in tree climbing and cutting, fence and bridge building, grape vines and everything outdoors. He could fix anything. He loved his retirement, watching Westerns, NASCAR, and Gospel and Country music on his television. He loved to front porch sit and cut up. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. He loved watching the neighbors go by and their porch visits. And he absolutely loved his Grand-dog, Gabby Gail.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kristi Elaine Brown; a daughter-in-law, Carol Shook Brown; his nephew and nieces he was so fond of, Johnny, Eva and Rick, Jackie, Linda and Mike; and special friends and neighbors, Irene and Holly.
The family would love for you to join them in celebrating his life on Saturday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m., in the Church yard at Brown’s View Church, with refreshments and visits in the church basement after service. Feel free to bring a chair, if you need one. Officiating the service will be Eva Farren, Billy Clark and Ricky Netherton.
