Arden – Robert “Bob” Mayhew, 86 of Arden, died Thursday, June 1, 2023 at CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Hartford, KY, he was a son of the late Roy and Katie Johnson Mayhew. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Samuel as well as three sisters, Betty Lou, Virginia and Ernestine.
Bob received his Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green College of Commerce, his Master’s in Science from the University of Tennessee as well as his Master’s in Business from Oklahoma City University. He was licensed as a general contractor and was the owner and CEO of Mayhew Construction Corp. He also served in the North Carolina National Guard.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Scottsville, KY in the near future.

Bob was a good neighbor and friend. He worked hard to build good homes and was good natured to everyone. He was always on the go. May he rest in peace in a heavenly home.
I will miss him….
Although Richard changed jobs he has never forgotten what a nice guy Bob was to work for and how well he was treated during his employment with him. That speaks volumes in my book to have left such a lasting memory of his kindness and fairness to his employees.
