Brandan Miles Dunst

Brandan Miles Dunst passed away at age 41 on May 31, 2023, in Asheville, NC. He was born in Morganton, NC, on November 3, 1981, to his parents Carl Joseph Dunst and Valarie Lynn Miles. Brandan graduated from Western Piedmont Community College with a degree in Computer Engineering. He worked for Google in Atlanta, GA, before having a stroke in August, 2017.

Brandan was an avid rock climber, skydiver, and skateboarder. He enjoyed traveling. His favorite destinations were San Pedro, Belize, and Vancouver, Canada. Brandan was a free-spirited young man who was always looking for a new adventure.

Brandan is survived by his father; Carl; aunts, Janet Clark née Dunst, Linda Fair née Miles, Suzanne Groves née Dunst; uncles, Jack Fair and Butch Gursky; and more than 15 cousins. He is predeceased by the passing of his mother, Valarie, and his brother, Kerran Scott Dunst.

He will be laid to rest in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA with his grandparents, Carl John Dunst and Mildred Dunst née Yost, and his brother, Kerran.

Brandan’s family requests memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
