George was born and raised in Asheville NC. He was co-founder and part owner of Top Dog Car Washes. His great smile and humor will be greatly missed. His companionship for other people will be missed. His presence here was short and brief, but gave everyone a lifetime of memories and laughter because he was George. We like to thank everyone at Duke University Medical that fought hard for him to give him the best medical care possible. We would also like to thank Asheville Cancer Center Radiology for their above and beyond care and concern about George.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mary Anagnostopoulos, and Jimmy and Helen Pappas.
He is survived by his parents, Nick and Maria Anagnostopoulos, sister, Nicole Anagnostopoulos, his niece and nephew, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

I am so sorry to see the loss of this young man. God speed.
I am not there; I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.” – Mary Elizabeth Frye
