Terence "Duane" Weaver

July 11, 1966 ~ July 7, 2022
Resided in:
Fletcher, NC
Terence “Duane” Weaver, who would have celebrated his 57th birthday on July 11th, left this earth tragically on his Harley on July 7, 2022.
Duane was a 1984 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School and was employed by Linamar of Arden. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Lee Weaver.
Left to miss him every single day is his son, Cody Weaver of Fletcher; daughter April Younce of Tennessee; his mother, Betty Weaver of Fletcher; sisters Pamela Weaver of Fletcher and Annette Melton of Asheville. Duane has two grandchildren, Greyson and Amelia, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who loved him as their brother, and a very special lady, Lynn Harvey. He also loved his Doberman, Zeva.
Duane was multi-talented – a mechanic, most recently proud of his 1982 Pontiac Prostreet TransAm and his 1986 Corvette. He also could construct any project he attempted. Duane loved his Harley and rode all his life.
Duane never had to convince anyone he was a Christian, he lived it every day. We can only imagine the look on his face when he met his Savior.
The service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The family asks for fellow riders to escort our Duane’s body to the final resting place, Maney Branch Cemetery, Weaverville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Thursday.

Duane I just didnt know what to say when I heard the news. I guess after “are you sure” to the person telling me was, “oh my Lord, Ms Weaver is gonna be devistated”! As we’re so many people!! You are loved and respected by more than you ever knew! You can now grab Tim and go for a peaceful ride on those streets of gold. I think of him everyday just as I will you. You were always a good friend to me and I will always be thankful for the goodtimes we had! My heart is broken for your Mom, Cody and sisters. Ms.Weaver if you ever need anything, you know where I am! Don’t hesitate for a minute to let me know! My prayers are being sent for the entire family. Ride free, ride strong, RIP Duane..until we meet again! Tammy

I grew up and graduated with Annette and knew Duane in the younger years. I really got to see in recent years the very nice man he became once we started working together. Duane always had a smile and kind words every time I seen him. I know his family will always feel the void in their hearts. My thoughts are with all the family and friends. Rest In Peace Duane!
I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers for all your family.
I have many great memories of us at school, church, and just hanging out at the skating rink in Skyland. I’m so glad I got to see you last year with your family. Prayers going up for Betty, Annette, Pam, and family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Duane and Happy Birthday in Heaven.
Duane was a great person and a friend. I liked working with him at the parts house and hanging out at Johnny and Gails , all the good times we had. You will be missed.

Duane, may your memory be a blessing to all who loved you. Your family is in our hearts and prayers.
Such a tragedy to lose a good guy in this cruel world. Duane you were very respected. You listened to me and I listened to you. We both endured way to much hurt that left a scar but yours is healed. I was glad you were smiling again. I just wish we could talk one more time but God had other plans. Rest easy brother, eat a doughnut for me.
I remember the days of you helping me rebuilding my 2nd Harley.
Betty, I am so sorry to hear about the tragic, fatal accident of your son. I never met him but felt like I knew him from all the good stories Doris had told me about how talented he was. Please know you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. I’m here if you need me for anything. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have had the pleasure of knowing Duane for the past seven years and working closely with him for 2 1/2 of those years. I was with Duane through some difficult times in those years but had the pleasure of seeing just how much faith, character, and integrity he had. Was very proud to call him a friend for those years and present. My thoughts and prayers to family.

NOTHING
Nothing is the same
This pain will remain
Forever engraved in my brain.
Your face, your laughter, your
Blue eyes, your voice that echoes
In my mind over and over again…
Nothing will ever be okay without you.
You didn’t deserve this, my dear brother. I love you, Bubba.
Love, Pamalam
