Jonathan Lynn Crook, 42, of 85 Panorama Drive, Asheville, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Mission Hospital.
Jonathan was born October 17, 1979, son of Dr. Lynn Crook and Elsie Westberry Crook of Asheville.
He was a 1997 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and graduated from NC State University, Raleigh, with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Mechatronics. He was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his mother, Elsie Westberry Crook; four brothers, Kevin D. Crook (Deborah) and Philip A. Crook, both of Nashville, TN, Jimmy B. Crook (Edie) of Charleston, SC and Douglas W. Crook (Laura) of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Kathryn A. Crook and Martha C. Lail (Adam), both of Asheville, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Dr. Lynn Crook.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ashelawn Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

So sorry to read of Jonathan’s passing. I have fond memories of him as a small child and Dr. Crooks stories about him. Praying for comfort for your family.

David and I remember Johnathan especially for the nice vegetables he shared with us from his garden.
Johnathan would often stop and chat if David was working out in the yard.

Elsie, I was so very sorry and shocked to hear of Jonathan’s death. I enjoyed him when I used to cut his hair. I know he was so close to you and a lot of help. You are one of my special friends and I Love you so much. I am praying for you and your family. Let me know if you ever need to talk.
