Marlene will be missed greatly. I have known Marlene since she hired me 36 years ago. She was a compassionate person and NP who was always willing to go one step beyond. She fought this battle hard. Praying for you all for comfort and peace by the Prince of Peace. May your memories sustain you.

What a privilege to work with Marlene! I enjoyed and respected her dedication to caring for patients, her calm demeanor in the face of difficult situations and her intelligence in seeking solutions.
Marlene set the gold standard for dedication and care for all practitioners. So many benefited from her compassionate care in WNC. So many NPs had Marlene as their ultimate mentor and model. May her family know that she will be remembered by generations of patients, families, and health care providers. She made all of us better.
My love and prayers to Marlene’s Family. So thankful for all the years we had together. She was the Model of Care and Compassion to the patients and staff around her and so glad she was in my life. Go Rest High on the Mountain.

Richard and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing. I was privileged to work with her at Mountain Kidney for several years and had a great regard for her. Richard, you may remember me as the wife of David Reed a co-worker of yours at BASF for years. My heart goes out to all your family in this time of sorrow.
