Eric Thomas Redmon, 77, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Mission Hospital.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mr. Redmon was a son of the late Thomas Scott and Bessie Rhymer Redmon. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Redmon.
Mr. Redmon was a member of Shepherd’s Fold House of Worship.
Surviving is his wife, Diana Gail Rhodes Redmon; daughters, Nancy Metcalf (Chris) and Christy Jones Lawrence; sons, Chad Jones (Stacy) and Clay Jones (Gail); grandchildren, Monica, Alex, Becca, Ethan and Asher; and two great-grandchildren, Harley and Katlyn.
The family will host a drop in on Saturday, December 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the residence.

One of the toughest boys/men I ever knew. From the time he was a little boy he had it rough and he never gave up. Tommy rest in peace and give your mom Aunt Bessie and Grandma Roxie a big hug. My dad John Will and mom Julia Mae (your mom Bessie’s sister) Johnson always talked very highly of you. Love you Tommy. Cousin Linda Johnson and Joe Scorsone.
Tommy was such a kind, wonderful man. Many fond memories! Heaven gained sweet soul!

Tommy was a very nice man. I put a metal roof on his home several years ago, and became friends with Tommy and Diana. They were very nice to me and good people. My thoughts and prayers are with Tommy, Diana and all his loved ones.
