Arvel Bradley, 92, passed away May 14, 2021.
He was born in what is now the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Swain County to the late Ed and Ida Ogle Bradley.
He was a graduate of Swain County High School and Blanton’s Business College and volunteered and served honorably in the US Air Force. Arvel was an expert beekeeper and gardener. He was of the Christian faith, did many good things, was greatly loved and will be missed and remembered.
Survivors include granddaughter, Holly Ruth Ann Bradley; son, David E. Bradley; and step-daughter, Evelyn Bradburn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Bradley, one sister and six brothers.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, followed by graveside services at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 750 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
