Asheville Butterfly TrailJessie Dean Johnson Israel, 86, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at Blue Ridge Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Israel was born in North Wilkesboro, NC to the late Parley Asbie Johnson and Alma Otto Shepherd Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donnie Livingston and a granddaughter, Jessica Dalton.
Jessie worked over 20 years at Cutler Hammer.
She is survived by her husband, Avery Israel; three daughters, Debra Livingston-Green of Asheville, NC, Dinah Mitchell of Claremont, NC and Anita Wells of Canton, NC; a son, Delmer Livingston of Fairplay, SC; three sisters, Kathleen Prevette of Traphill, NC, Lorene Wyatt of Statesville, NC and Georgie Shelton of Dobson, NC; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Mills River, NC.
