Asheville Butterfly TrailAzara Powell Wilson, 88, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021.
Azara grew up in Greer, SC, and was the daughter of the late Wade M. and Essie Jane Powell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donald W. Wilson, who passed in 2012.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughters, Susan Wilson Molloy and husband Edward of Canton, NC, and Laura Kay Wilson of Marietta, GA; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Shepherd Memorial Park in Hendersonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, WNC Chapter, 4600 Park Rd, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
