William Harrison McCoy

William Harrison McCoy, 82, of Asheville, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Oren McCoy and Nancy Bedsworth McCoy. He worked as a payroll clerk at Kansas City Power and Light. He later moved to Washington State Whidbey Island and relocated to Asheville in 2007. William served in the United States Navy for 12 years.

He loved the outdoors; planting, farming, gardening and yardwork.

He is survived by his partner of 51 years, Robert Sneed and sister Beverly McCoy of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. McCoy was a member of All Souls Episcopal Church.
