Christy Rebecca DeBruhl, age 47, of Candler, NC passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020.

Christy was born August 9th, 1973 in Buncombe County to Steven Arden DeBruhl and Deborah Melton DeBruhl.

The things in life she enjoyed and loved the most were the love of her parents, her son, Justin Rylan Garren, who “she loved to the moon and back”, her sister and best friend, Amy DeBruhl, her beloved pets Bella and Sprinkles, her late Grandmother, Connie Melton, and her aunt, Diane Cathey who played important roles in her life.

Her family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and cousins all enjoyed her loud laugh, her beautiful smile, her “sensitive” side, the 4am wake-up call to get ready and how her life revolved around her son, Justin.

Other important people in her lifetime included David Garren, Michael Landis, Brian Jones, Pam Mease, Chad Whitcomb, Sharon Lohr, Michaela Hensley, Bernadean Bryson and many more.

A private service will be held at a later date due to Covid 19. Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian staff is assisting the family.

  11. Christy was always a bubbly personality full of life and laughter. We got to know each other in 8th grade at middle school. She made every one feel welcome to be a part of her life. I am glad I got to be a part of hers even for a little while.
