James M. Adams, 78, of Hendersonville, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Pardee Hospital.
Born in Durham, NC, he was the husband of Linda (Holcombe) Adams of Hendersonville, and the son of the late Charnie Theodore and Alpha Edridge (Lewis) Adams. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers.
He was a US Navy veteran, and was of the Baptist faith.
James served as a Director on the boards at Venture Out Gatlinburg and Haywood Townes. He loved sports, especially Duke basketball, and for a time coached little league and played softball and basketball.
In addition to his wife of 22 years, he is survived by a son, Jay Adams (Jenna) of Hendersonville, and a daughter, Dawn Fraser (Brian) of St. Louis, MO; two stepdaughters: Terri Edmiston (Jim) of Charlotte and Tracy Wilson of Arden; 4 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
