Sean Freeman Miller

May 3, 1992 ~ December 9, 2020

Born in: Atlanta, GA
Resided in: Asheville, NC

Sean Freeman Miller, loved by so many in Asheville and beyond, left this earth too soon on December 9, 2020, at the age of 28.

He was born in Atlanta, GA, but called Asheville home after moving here in 2015. He put down roots and gave his heart to the Asheville community.

He is survived by his parents, Tim and Robin Miller, of Acworth, GA, and his sister Tracy Miller, of Athens, GA; his aunt Holly (Mike) Jones, of Hixson, TN; his uncle Matt (Lisa) Freeman, of Cumming, GA; his uncle Pete (Deb) Wade, of Cincinnati, OH; and cousins Kelby Jones, of Los Angeles, CA, and Crystal Freeman, of Cumming, GA.

He will also be deeply missed by Shelby, a sweet pound puppy who he rescued in 2012. Her smile is as big and special as Sean’s.

He is also survived by an army of loving, compassionate, caring friends who stood with him as he fought with great courage against the insidious disease of addiction. He lost his battle, and his struggle is over. His powerful spirit is now free to soar. He will be missed beyond measure by all who were blessed to know him.

To know Sean is to know that music was his first love and language. He was super talented and happiest when he was playing electric bass. Sean and his beloved Fender P Bass with the vintage strap were cremated together, so he will continue to make music wherever he goes. His ashes will be scattered by family and friends at locations in and around Asheville where he experienced joy, laughter, good times, fun, friendship and fellowship. Play on, Sean.
