Myrtle McKinney Powell Brown

Myrtle McKinney Powell Brown, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
Myrtle was the daughter of the late James Ernest McKinney and Myrtle Lula Sherlin McKinney. She was born in Hendersonville but was a lifelong resident of West Asheville. She was retired from Charles D. Owen Manufacturing.
She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Thomas E. Powell and Claude E. Brown, sisters, Betty Lee Sherlin and Mary Sue Carrigan and brother, Ernest David McKinney.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Lunsford (Ray Lunsford), Diana Powell and Trudy Brown; a son James Powell, Sr.; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
She will be greatly missed and loved. The family expresses their appreciation to the loving and caring staff at Accordius Health at Asheville.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Shepherd Memorial Park.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
