Danny Charlie House, 82, of Fletcher, died Monday, June 8, 2020 at Four Seasons Hospice, Flat Rock.
Born in Vance County, he was the husband of Patricia “Pat” (Hart) House of Fletcher, and the son of the late Connie Charlie and Grace Ellen (Hock) House. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Best.
He attended Trinity of Fairview Church in Fairview, and was the Owner and President of Trade Master Contracting. Danny was an Army veteran.
Danny was a kind-hearted man who loved his family. He was a hard-worker and dedicated, and generous to his employees. An accomplished athlete, he played football for Davidson College and was then chosen in the 1961draft by the Dallas Texans. Although he didn’t play for them, he eventually played for the Fort Benning Doughboys while in the Army.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by 5 children: Kim Spivey (Marty) of Charleston, SC; Ann Best of Fletcher; Amy Pearce (David) of Hendersonville; Ellen Hair (Russell) of Fletcher; and Daniel House (Rocio) of Charleston, SC; 18 grandchildren; and a sister, Margie House Brummitt of Henderson, NC.
Memorial services will be private.

So sorry to read about Danny’s death. I personally know that you have been the very
best caregiver of all time. I am much in prayer for you, children, and grand children.

Celia and I are so sorry to hear about Danny. I have such special memories from having been able to work with him at Laurens Glass in both Ruston and Laurens. His special smile, concern for employees and excellent work ethic will always remain with me. I am thankful for the opportunity that I had to know and work with him and also the times that we were able to be with the members of your family in years past.
We will be praying for you as well as for Kim, Ann, Amy, Ellen and Daniel as well as their families.

I was sorry to learn of Danny’s passing. I have fond memories of our high school days, especially basketball. A few years ago, Coach Piestrak told me that Danny was the best defensive player that he ever coached. You are in my prayers.

Dear Friends. In catching up on old news after a trip we came across Danny’s obiturary. Our hearts go out to you in your loss and our prayer is that you will sense God’s strong arms beneith you holding you up and giving you strength for each day. Even though we have not seen you in years, we think of you often, and have fond memories of the years we we neighbors at Canterbury Way.
