Lou Morgan Harshaw, 94, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the CarePartners Solace Center.

Born in Asheville on June 18, 1925, Lou was the daughter of the late Zedi Kyle and Shirley Penland Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Moses Richard Harshaw, Jr.

Mrs. Harshaw was a noted historian and authored 13 books. She worked for many years at Mars Hill College and also worked with Town & Country Realty. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Harshaw is survived by her son, Moses Richard Harshaw III (Nancy).

Private burial was held at Green Hills Cemetery.
