Asheville Butterfly TrailDale Robert Green, 54, of Candler, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020.
A native of Buncombe Co., Dale was a son of Cloe Bryson Bevill and of the late Robert Lee Green.
Dale was a 1984 graduate of Enka High School. He was a big outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was also an avid dog lover.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his son, Levi Green and fiance Mikayla Anders; daughter, Karissa Conner and husband Cody; granddaughter, Lakelyn Conner; grandson, Brixton Green; the mother of his children, Tonya Green; sister, Lynn Greene and husband Shane; brother, Matthew Green; nephews and nieces, Kasey and Avery Hollingsworth, and Chloe and Paige Greene; and his beloved boxer, Coleman.
Funeral services for Mr. Green will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Asheville Humane Society, 16 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.

Dale was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. I was very sad to hear the news about his passing. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family. He will be missed. Dale was one of the good ones.
My first friend. Will always love him dearly. One of the best souls I’ve ever known. Rest in peace my friend.
My thoughts are with the family of Dale. May God Be with you and give you strength. When i think of Dale, I remember watching him, Mike Henley. John Baldwin and my nephew Tim Fox grown up to be young men. That has been many years ago but those memories of watching them enjoy life and have fun will always be there.
To the family of Dale, I was so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. I remember that Dale, Lynn, and Matthew and my children grew up together in their early years. Clo, I am so sorry for the pain that you must be going through. I cannot imagine the hurt to lose a child. Matthew and Lynn, My condolences to each of you. To Dale’s children, Levi and Karissa and families, I am so sorry that you have lost your Dad and Grandfather. Please know that you are in our prayers. I pray that God will give each of you strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.
