Austin Paul Davis, 25, of Mills River, passed away suddenly Friday, January 3, 2020.
Born in Buncombe County, he was the son of Ray and Mary Jane (Sigler) Davis of Mills River. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Apple.
He was a 2014 graduate of West Henderson High School.
Known as the “Dirt Bike Kid,” Austin loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed beach trips with his family and bonfires with friends.
Austin is survived by his daughter, Carter Grace Love; 2 brothers: Chandler Davis and his fiancée Ashley Ward, and Dalton Davis; 2 sisters: Jasmine Davis and Sandy Torrey; maternal grandmother, Nova Apple; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Glenda Davis; step-grandmother, Marilyn Sigler; uncle, Scott Davis; 2 aunts: Sherry Noto and Lori Davis; and birth mother, Lisa Michelle (Apple) Clay.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Rev. Phillip Youngblood officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

I met austin a couple times he came and hang out with my son ray he was a very polite and nice young man and my heart goes out to the family you all are in my thoughts and prayers he will be missed.
I hope you find some peace and comfort. Carter will always love you. Thank you for giving me a beautiful daughter. Fly high and watch over her.
