Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My deepest sympathy and condolences are extended to this family. Praying for your peace and comfort during this most difficult time.

  2. My beautiful first cousin Evelyn has gone to be with Uncle Tom and Aunt Irene, Grandma Grace and so many others. Although she will be missed here I am sure they are glad to see her and will welcome her with the big old bear hugs this family is prone to do…especially our beautiful Grandma. I remember the first time I saw her, just a skinny little red head full of fire and tease, and she scared me. Like me, she was the oldest and cared for Robin and Tommy when they needed her. Such a loving and good woman I so much regret not seeing her more frequently. I pray for Stanley and Roger Stanley and want them to know if they need me for anything to let me know. I always thought she was one of the most beautiful women I ever knew, through and through. God bless you Evelyn, and when I come to see you I want one of those big hugs, okay?

  3. Amongst my earliest memories is one of a pet rabbit I had named George, I guess I was about five or six years old. Due to some unfortunate events at the time, I had to get rid of the rabbit and that was the first time I remember meeting a beautiful red haired graceful lady with an enchanting smile, who had offered to take care of him for me. This was my cousin, Evelyn. I truly thought at the time that I had met an angel. I know now that I owe her and her sister Robin, a debt of gratitude for it wasn’t the first or the last time they had come to the rescue. I talked to Evelyn on the phone a couple years ago, and even after forty years had passed, I recognized her voice and laughter immediately. I wish I had taken that opportunity to go and visit with her. I told myself, and Evelyn that I would ‘some day’… if you aren’t careful about it, some day never comes, and one night you hear the terrible news that your chance has passed. I will always remember the angelic red haired lady with the enchanting smile very fondly and my heart goes out to all of you whom I know are missing this amazing woman, and I share a portion of this grief as well tonight. Evelyn was amazing, and I look forwards to seeing her again.

  4. So sorry to hear about Evelyn’s passing. I hadn’t see her in years but I had seen Roger Stanley and knew Stan from our high School days. We all lived as neighbors at Whispering Pines back in 84- 97 . I always liked Evelyn. She was a special lady . Our prayers to Stan, Roger Stanley and the extended family !! God Bless you all !!!
