Lottie Davis Pruette

Lottie Davis Pruette, 94, of Asheville, died Monday, February 21, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Pruette was a Candler native and was a daughter of the late Stover Burton and Rixie Reeves Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Kenneth Pruette who died in 1975, and by her only grandson, David Jeffrey Murray who died in 1998. She was a member of Malvern Hills Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Kathryn Pruette of Asheville and Sandra Pruette Scarborough and her husband Willis P. Scarborough, Jr., of Wiggins, MS; two sisters, Emily Shaver of Winston-Salem and Elizabeth Pitts of Franklin. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Revs. Roland Owenby and J.R. Plemmons officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
