Charles Gordon Munro

Charles Gordon Munro, Sr., 87, of 94 Hollybrook Drive, Asheville, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005. A native of New York, he was a Navy veteran of WW II. He was a retired electrician and had resided in Asheville for 14 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Munro. Surviving are his wife, Billie Hooker Munro; a son, Charles G. Munro, Jr. and his wife Jan of Las Vegas; two daughters, Bonnie Taylor and her husband Charles of Naples, FL and Billie Stahmer and her husband Joe of Asheville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26 in the Lake Julian chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
