Louise, Dick and Sandra, Shan and Dan,
H.B, was a mentor for me from the first decade of my years in the Roofing Industry and beyond. He helped instill core values in me at a young and impressionable age which carry through today. Even though we’ve had our moments over the years, I’m a better man for having H.B.’s influence in my life. Please know that we hold you ‘In the Light’ as you grieve the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. Stay close during the coming hours and days. Love one another as we celebrate the life and legacy of H.B. Stroup.
Chris,it has been 2years, the grief is still unbearable at times but the memories are precious. Thank you for acknowledging his influence on your life it hurt me when you and I H had your differences because I was there too when you start it out. I was very much impressed with your abilities and your ability to cope with physical problems. I felt motherly toward you and was hurt when we had to separate company but it must’ve been all in god‘s plan for all of us. Again thank you for allowing me to know that H was a good influence he loved you
Dear Louise, Dick and Sandra, Shan and Dan, and family,
HB Stroup was a precious man of God. He loved the Lord and faithfully served his Lord, sharing his faith by word of mouth and by living the Christian life by example. He was a committed church member and served with excellence on every committee he was involved with at West Asheville Baptist Church. He was a regular participant on Tuesday night church visitation and was a giver both in time and financially to those in need. He had a heart of compassion for all. He loves his Lord, his family, his friends, and his community. Even though his health was failing, he faithfully (along with Louise) visited our home to encourage us during daddy’s journey to heaven. Thank you Louise for yours and HB’s faithful ministry to the Johnson family. HB and daddy are now praising the Lord together in heaven! Blessed Assurance
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. Revelation 21:4
Cesar and Lacey,

Dear Louise, Dick & Shan,
I’m just now finding out about HB passing & while Heaven’s gained another wonderful man, we’ve all lost one too! Your family has been so important to me & mother when she was living. I can only imagine the welcome he got from so many when he got to heaven! I know his health had not been great of late, but it’s still hard to lose him. Thankfully, we will see him again when we get to heaven! You all have been & of course, remain in my prayers! God Bless!
Louise, Shan and Dan. We are so sorry for your loss. HB was always so helpful and kind to our family. He was a blessing to us. I am praying God’s comfort and peace for you and your family.
With much love,
Ken and Paula Fann

What a sweet spirit, now at rest from all labor. Thanks be to God!
Sincere condolences to Louise, Shan and to Dick.
I was privileged to have served with and been mentored by H.B. in our years together on the Camp Bethel Ministries Board of Directors. So much wisdom that he humbly imparted and his patience with us younger members who thought we had it all figured out.
I am sorry to have missed his passing but still wanted to post this to remind his family and friends how God used this man to impact so many lives and institutions.
