Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. This is such a loss! I will forever remember this sweet sweet lady. Her love for others. Her kind words. Her elegance. Her smile. You could always see God working through her. I hate I didn’t make the time to go visit more & talk more to Helen. This was my Nannies (Viola Cole) very dearest & best friend growing up & all the way through life. They always looked after one another with calls & visits. She’ll be greatly missed by all that knew her!
Just reading her obituary give you a glimpse of just a fraction of the way Helen lived her life. What a living testimony she was!!!
Love & Prayers for all the family!

  2. A lovelier lady we shall not see. She lived her life in service to others, and those whose lives she has touched have been richer and blessed. Her legacy of service shall continue in those lives, and her memory will be eternal.
May God provide Comfort and Strength to those who mourn her loss.
    In Sympathy,
The Ruth Davidson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution

  3. I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one.We all await Gods promise to swallow up death forever.(Isaiah 25:8)

  4. To the family of my sweet friend, Helen
My heart is sad for you in this time, but I know she would not want anyone to mourn her passing as she is now in the presence of her Father in heaven and I am sure she is playing on the most grand piano to praise Him. My dad, Frank Smith, who was a hall-mate at the Baptist home for 5 years, loved to hear her play and chapel services and was so gracious to play for his memorial service there. I will miss the sweet times I sat at her knee and listened to wonderful life stories . May the peace of God be will you all.

  5. Our deepest sympathy in your loss. We were friends of Fred and Nell and have many fond memories of them. We will keep your family close in our prayers during this time of sadness. Sincerely, Jerrell and Hazel Deaver

  6. My condolence to the family for their loss. Death of a loved one is one of the hardest things we face in life.Turn to our Heavenly Father in pray. He is there for us. Psalm 34:15, ‘He listen to our cry for help.’? He is closed to the brokenhearted. He saves all thoses who are crushed in spirit.’?There is still hope for Helen John 11:25, ‘Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life. The one exercise faith in me, even bough he dies will come to life.’? Helen will be able to live again under better conditions.
May Gos comfort the family during this difficult time.

  7. Helen was my favorite cousin – we called each other ‘CUZ’; Her father (Fred) and my grandfather (Caney) were brothers. She always claimed to be one day older than me .She being born on May 29, 1919, and me on May 30, 1935. (A slight difference)

CUZ was the real deal – She had it all: Good Looks, a long life, a great sense of humor, (she loved telling as well as hearing a good joke) and most of all an unquestionable Love for her God and Family which she demonstrated throughout her entire life. The photo in her obituary was made at her 90th Birthday Party by my wife, Shirlene. When she first saw this photo she commented that it was the one she wanted used in her obituary. We offer our sincere sympathy to her family, and we also rejoice knowing that she has joined those who have gone on before her. It is great to know that God’s Choir has gained a new member.
I will miss our telephone calls that we had, but I will never forget CUZ. God Bless you all.

We will be unable to attend the services or visitation but our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

  8. Linda and Bobby – I am sorry to read that your Mom passed away. Prayers for all the family during this time of sorrow.

  9. Your Mom was truly a woman of substance. I will always remember our talks and seeing your Mom and my Mom in the choir. Wish I could be there her service but just know that You and Bobby are in my heart and thoughts.
