Ellen Marie Marsh

Ellen Marie Marsh, 79, a long time resident of the Black Mountain Neuro Medical Center, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Marie was born in Asheville and was a daughter of the late J.D. and Rosa Lynch Marsh. She was also preceded in death by a special aunt, Viola Jones. She was a member of the Cartwright Sunday School Class at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sister, Barbara Morton (Melvin), nephew, Eddie Morton (Mandy), and nieces, Becky Dalton (Lynn) and Martha Israel (Tom). Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with Chaplain Jean Randolph officiating. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, in the chapel of the Black Mountain Neuro Med Center. Memorials may be made to the Black Mountain Neuro Med Center, 932 Old US 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to Dr. Will Moomaw, Susan Casar, P.A., and the staff of the Black Mountain Center for the loving care they provided to Marie through the years, and especially, during the past few weeks. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
