Penelope “Penney” Meadows Morgan, of Candler, passed away September 30, 2018 in Alabama.
A native of Buncombe Co., Penney was a daughter of Linda Meadows and of the late Jack Meadows. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Elliott.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Drew Morgan; daughter, Reecia Elliott Messer and husband Mark; granddaughter, Abby Messer; sister, Jennifer Warren; family friend, Dan Glover; niece, Monica Buchanan; nephew, Christopher Layell (Nicole); great-nephew, Elliott Bailey; great-niece, Siobhan McCormack; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service for Mrs. Morgan will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Sorry for your loss. I love Penny. Penny was first my sister-in-law (my sister). Then we became great friends. I have thought of Penny and our times together the past couple of days. Memories are wonderful things to hold on to. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.
I only knew penny for a little while she seemed to be very friendly to who she met she’s at peace now no suffering no heartache wondering from day to day how much time she had left Rest In Peace penny
