Sanford Ken Curry

Sanford Ken Curry, 81, of Asheville, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at CarePartners Solace Center. He was born in Buncombe County to the late Kenneth and LucyJones Curry. He was also preceded in death by his son, Alan Curry. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edith Franson Curry; two daughters, Karen Bruce (Mike), and Debra Sherlin (and the late Ronald) all of Asheville, four grandchildren, Gary Bruce (fiancee Anita) and their children, Noah, Ella and Mia; Chris Sherlin (Kim) and their children, Taylor and Lincoln; Tim Sherlin (Alex) and their son Andrew; and Steven Sherlin (Michelle) and their son,James. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m., at Gashes Creek Cemetery. Rev. Ed Olson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 til 1:50 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road.
