Marie Lovin Harris

Marie Lovin Harris, 80, of Candler, died Monday, January 8, 2018. A native of Buncombe Co., Marie was a daughter of the late William Atlee and Lola Mintz Lovin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Atlas Mae Rich. Surviving are her husband, Arnold Edward Harris; daughter, Kay Long and husband, Ed, of Candler; sons, Terry Harris and wife, Joe Ann, of Old Fort, and Kevin Harris and wife, Connie, of Mars Hill; grandson, Nathan Harris and wife, Elizabeth; and brother, Howard Lovin and wife, Kate, of Candler. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. Larry Nix and Bette Drake officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery.
