Harold Wendle Anders

Harold Wendle Anders, 85, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co., Harold was a son of the late Carl and Ethel Shuford Anders. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annette Jackson Anders, and by seven sisters and four brothers. Mr. Anders attended Emma Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons, Phillip C. Anders and Wendle Anders and wife Angela; grandchildren, Hannah and Matthew Anders; sister, Patricia Chandler; and sisters-in-law, Helen Marlowe and husband Richard, Rebecca Taylor, and Sally Jackson. Funeral services for Mr. Anders will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billy Kirk officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emma Baptist Church, 520 N.
