Carmela Affinito

Carmela Colon Affinito, 86, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. Mrs. Affinito was born in New York, New York to the late Justino and Vincenza Guarino Colon. Mrs. Affinito worked most of her life as a seamstress. She is survived by her two children; a son, Anthony Affinito and his wife, Marianne and a daughter, Diane Hart; a sister, Lucy Pagano; five grandchildren, Vincent John Affinito, Jennifer Leigh Lewis, Christina Affinito, Anthony Amoretti and Jessica Nunez and three great grandchildren, Luca Amoretti, Mila Amoretti, and Jarissa Nunez. An evening wake will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm with a Rosary being said at 5:00 pm. Carmela will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, New York with a funeral service held there later in the week.
