Aileen Jones Wilde, 90, of Candler, died on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Aston Park Health Care Center.
A Candler native, Aileen was a daughter of the late Fred and Docia DeVore Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vinson Wilde; daughter, Paulette Maybury; and sisters, Alice Williams and Willadean Jones.
Mrs. Wilde had been a member of Deaverview Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilde is survived by her son, Stephen Wilde and wife Linda; and granddaughter, Chelsea W. Woods and husband Nick.
The graveside service for Mrs. Wilde will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Stan Welch officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. prior to the service.
Her family asks that memorials be made to CarePartners Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813, or to a charity of one's choice.
