Dorothy Irene Carver

Dorothy Irene Carver, 94, died Thursday, June 22, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co., Dorothy was the daughter of the late Wiley and Della Buckner Carver. She retired from Southern Bell, and was a past president of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church. Surviving is her cousin, Joseph Buckner. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Ackerman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 718 Haywood Rd., Asheville, NC 28806. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
