Donald Edward Palmer

Donald Edward Palmer, 82, of Asheville, died Monday, May 16, 2016. Mr. Palmer was born September 23, 1933, in Knoxville, TN to the late Cecil George and Frances Messer Palmer. His family includes his wife, Sara Scruggs; children, Joseph Palmer, Diana Palmer, Alan Palmer (Irina), and Allyson Wright (Todd); grandchildren, Regan Stoltz, Quinn Wright, and Teran Wright, and great-grandson Lane DeHart. Respecting Mr. Palmer's request, there will be no funeral service. He suggested that memorial gifts be made to the General Fund, Abernethy United Methodist Church, 1418 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with arrangements.
