Martha Meta Patterson

Martha Logan “Meta” Patterson, 96, of Givens Estates, Asheville, died Thursday, October 7, 2004. Miss Patterson was a native of Green Island in Northern Ireland and was a former resident of Chicago where she was a manager with Marshall Field and Company. She retired to Asheville in 1979. Her sister, Ellen C. Patterson died in 1998. A memorial service will be held at the Givens Estates Health Center at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Joe Fulk officiating. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.
